Data Matrix Barcode for labels

Dear all,

 

we have to print a data matrix barcode in a small label (KLT). We use SmartForms. Do you have any ideas if this is supported by SAP? Is there another solution to produce a data matrix barcode in SAP with a third party tool? PDF417 barcode can not used because the factory want to change to data matrix.

Note 1557674 describes the different possibilities for printing barcodes in SAP: # 1557674 - Overview of bar code printing from SAP However, if you want to print a data matrix barcode, method 1 and 2 are the only ones which can be used. So either you must have a printer where a barcode module is installed which contains the data matrix barcode, or you need a barcode.dll which contains the barcode

No data transfer/ Time booked in CATS is not posted to controlling

Hi DBM Experts,

 

There is a message prompting out whenever I have done the Time Recording (Confirm/Clock off for the Service Order) as below:

 

            No data for transfer

                         Message no. LR301

 

 

Next I tried to create billing for my corresponding Service Order and I encountered an warning and error message as below:

 

Warning message:Time booked in CATS is not posted to controlling; billing not allowed

Error message:Event BILLING_CREATE cannot be processed (see long text)

 

 

Is the error and warning message above related to the message "No data for transfer" I received when I did the Time Recording?

 

Is the error message is related to CO object?

 

Please give me some advice on the issue above. Appreciate your kind respond.

Characteristics available in Billing are not passed on to the Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)

Hello,

In SAP DBM, for Vehicle Sales Order, PA uses characteristics which are available in the billing document but are not passed on to the Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). I have a KEDR Derivation with a breakpoint and I can see the characteristics related to Billing with data completed but these are not passed to the PA object.
This occurs for example with VKORG, SPART, VTWEG, KAUFN, etc. Only the charateristics related to CO Order likes  WERKS, AUFNR, PRCTR are passed to CO-PA.

It be  will  a miss configuration in COPA, in DBM or a problem in SAP ?  Thanks and regards.

DBM - Time Management - CATS Transfer to CO

Hello DBM Gurus,

 

we are trying to set up Time Management  in our DBM implementation (6.04).

the DBM transactions work and create timestamps in CATS as expected but, we seem to have a problem with the integration between CATS an CO. The entries in cats do not create CO transactions in the internal order of DBM order (no entries created in table CATSCO).

We have followed all the instructions we could find. this is still not enough.

Are there any specific steps rellevant to this problem (transfer from CATS to CO) that we might have missed?

Do you know any Cookbook or helpful help on this issue?

one time customer in DBM notification

Hi,

 

I need to use the onetime customer to create the DBM notifications through DBM Vehicle Inqiry Order.

But it doesnt allow ne to use onetime customer to create the notifications.. Pls advice what should I change ? and how can I do this..

IPC 7.0 and ECC 6.0

Hi All,

 

I have a question pertaining to  IPC 7.0  and ECC 6.0 .  IPC comes with CRM in the ECC 6.0.

What I need to do if I need to use only IPC , not CRM. Earlier IPC 4.0 was stand alone. Does IPC 7.0 is stand alone , or do I need to turn on the CRM , just to use IPC in the ECC 6.0 Environment.

Claim notifications from dealer portal in SAP

Hi,

 

Kindly provide your suggestions for the below requirement to be implemented.

We are using automotive dealer portal 7 where business function warranty management is not enabled as it will be handled in some other system.

we use using only spare parts sales in business function.

Now the requirement here is for "non warranty claim" which will be recorded at the dealer portal.Once the claims are recorded at the dealer portal claim will be created in sap (Please note no orders are generated in sap at this point). next step will be the first level of validation which will be done in SAP for the claim.If the claim is rejected in SAP the dealer portal will be updated on the claim status .If accepted further process for returns etc will be carried out in SAP.

 

Please suggest how do we recieve the inital claim recorded in dealer portal in SAP.Should be create a Z table in sap ? if yes how will the actions be perfomed for accept and reject? Or is there any other way of receving notifications in sap for claims where actions can be perfomed?

Hello Gurus,

 

In my scenario Organization handles Import as well as retail business. So its an Importer and also a Dealer catering to end-customer. What solution - VMS or DBM should be used ? I believe I need to use both of them to fulfil all the requirements of business, please correct me. Also if need to use both of them - Can I use them in same instance - same client or do I need separate clients to map the scenario ? Can I also eliminate the need of CRM is I use DBM ?

Hello,

trying to map the solution for Automotive Rental & Lease industry. What would be the better option - while mapping the requirements around Vehicle Master, Disposals, Tracking, Procurement, Reservations, Sales etc. - to go with the VMS or DBM ? We are using CRM for sure along with the ECC with ISAuto, but do we need DBM as well ?

I am new to Vehicle Management System and I am in the process to learn the VMS functionality by myself. I would appreciate if someone can give me the snap-shot and step-by-step procedure to create sales order for multiple vehicles in VMS (possibly a user manual).
