Vehicle Master creation
Hi,
I have started to learn DBM, need your help guys.
I am creating a Vehicle master, after entering the data on the vehicle new entry screen it navigates further where i can check different tabs like - data overview, vehicle history, general data etc.
Upon saving it throws an error "No action control found".
Is this a customizing error ? any idea ?
so far i have done the below things,
New end customer Cust100
a/c grp - KUNA
Notification 500000860
Material role assigned
Org role assigned
User assigned
Vehice model (Material Racer_A1)
Model sales code - Racer-minsale
Model service code - Racer-minsrvc
Asign warrany profile
Racer-minsale  WTY001 std warranty

VMS functionalities
Hi,
I need VMS fuctionalities in following Business process
Q 1- How to track/see the stock of the dealer using SAP VMS?? Is it possible to do so??
Q 2- What are the Standard reports available in SAP VMS?
Q 3- Transfer of Vehicle from Dealer A to Dealer B without any cancellation of documents even if the whole SD process is complete between the NSC and The Dealer A?

Transaction /DBM/C_ORD_NR does not exist
Hi DBM Expert,
We are in DBM 7.0 now and when i go to tcode /DBM/C_ORD_NR to maintain number range for order type.
The system come out say "Transaction /DBM/C_ORD_NR does not exist" Message no. S#343
Please advise is there any configure or activation need to be done?

Error message:Material document contains no items (order: 40000004 item: 00
Good Day SAP expert,
I have facing an error message on Material document contains no items (order: 40000004 item: 000010) & Message no. /DBM/COMMON286.
This error happen when I want to create Good Issue with action QGIS (Create Goods Issue (DBM)).
Steps that I create vehicle order:
1. Go to /dbm/order01 and select 3010 u2013 Vehicle Order based on Model
2. Then I create for a new customer with model sales code
3. I save the vehicle order in DBM.
4. I go to VELO to create vehicle on Peugeot model sales code and create PO, good receipt and incoming invoice.
5. Then I use action QDBM to enable vehicle to DBM.
6. I assign the vehicle (DBM) to my vehicle order (created based on model).
7. The assignment is successful; therefore I would like to do Good Movement (good issue). Error : Material document contains no items pop up.
8. I have try with create VELO, assign QDM and create 3000 u2013 vehicle order, Good Movement able to perform.
I apply snote 1527931 - Problem with reading of document flow on nonunicode systems.
Its doesn't work, system say still say that material document contains no items.
is it advisable change error message to warning message?
Please advice.

Changes after activating DIMP in ECC
Hi all,
We are in ECC 6.0 and we want to implement Warranty Claim process from Dealer to Vendor,end to end. For that, we are also planning to activate IS-Auto (DIMP). But before doing so, we want to know the impacts/changes that would happen in ECC after activating DIMP.
Kindly help me know more on the above said.

Customer group in /DBM/VBAP table
Hi Friends,
When we are updating / changing customer group on header screen of /dbm/order screen, it is not updating /DBM/VBAP table.
would like to know is it standard functionality, that customer group is stored in /DBM/VBAP table or it should be stored in /DBM/VBAK_DB TABLE.
If, it should store in /DBM/VBAP table then why it is not updating?
Please advice.

JIT outbound issue
Hi All,
We received a request from the business to be able to provide a forecast release and then send some kind of re-order point releases. Now in standard SAP you can either order with re-order point but this without sending a forecast generated by MRP.
Now we have found in the automotive functionality the "outbound summarized JIT" call which we think will solve our requirement. We have set-up this scenario and are able to generate JIT calls. However when we try to send out the JIT call the output is not transmitted.
In the messages you find the status on RED and the processing log states as error Summarized JIT call XXXX does not exist.
This message is twice in the processing log.
However when you call up the JIT call in transaction PJ02 you can see it.
Any ideas where this error might come from?

Hi,
Can anyone please tell me what are the differences between DBM 6 and Dbm 7?
Can a person trained on DBM 7 be able to work on DBM 6 very easily, or is the older version very different from the newer?

Profit Center error
Hi all,
In our DBM installation, during service order creation ( when saving the service order ), we are getting an error message "Profit Center for internal order not found". We have checked the profit center assignments like Material Master and DBM internal order assignment. If any of you had the similar issue, kindly advise to resolve.
Even in Parts sales order and vehicle sales order, internal order is not creating.

SAP Auto Dealer Portal
Hi Team,
1. I am working on a Pursuit to Implement SAP Auto Dealer Portal (Dealer Front End).
2. I have 2 options, Reuse an Older Web based version (based on Web and Business Server Pages - Implemented at a different site few year ago) or Redevelop using newer Webdynpro and Netweaver based Dealer Portal. - Please suggest if its feasible to reuse and leverage and yet acheive a Shorter Implementation cycle?
3. I feel the versions are incompatible and hence reusing may not be feasible, only way I feel is a Lot of Interfacing between Older version and Newer version can be done and make it work.
4. Do you suggest Develop a New Dealer Portal directly using the SAP's Auto Dealer Portal (new version) and use the Processes, Scenarios and Data from the last implementation.
5. I would need Features of New Dealer Portal not available in the Older Web based version (additional features)
6. Also, A detailed document on the New Dealer Portal - if someone has.
7. Any Standard list of Interfaces that need to be written to use the New Dealer Portal.

VIN Number and Serial Numbers
Hi all,
Just wanting to confirm my solution in that I am receiving a file to create Orders ( IDOC MESSAGE TYPE ORDERS05)
I want to hold the the vehicle identification number VIN and serial number. Also is it best to get these 2 fields populated via IDOC or should I get entered them in the sales order? If the answer is in sales order than which are the best Fields to use in VBAK.
Or can I have these fields populated in ORDERS05? I wasn't able to locate the fields in ORDERS05
Please remember I need these 2 fields passed through to the Purchase order and Invoice. Both VIN NUMBER and serial number.

Update price dbm/order02
The requirement is to update price in the service orders(dbm/order02) automatically based on the changes done on the master sales price in VK12.
So pls let me knw any function module which directly update the price to build a custom trnx..or any transaction to be used..

JIT call handling within the same SAP system
Hallo
We have a scenario wherein the OEM and Tier 1 supplier are using the same SAP system and want to interact using JIT calls. Any idea how this can be implemented.
Is there a need to have 2 JIT calls, one outbound (created at OEM for KANBAN with purchase Scheduling agreement) and another with same data (inbound for Tier 1 to hit a SD Scheduling agreement )
OR
the same JIT call can be used at both ends since they are in the same SAP system.
Any inputs would be highly appreciated.

Profit Center not found for Internal Order
Dear Expert,
When I tried to assign a vehicle to the Vehicle Sales Order based on Model (order type 3010), I am encountering a warning message "Profit center for internal order not found" together with error message "Vehicle data has meanwhile changed action terminated" which fails the assignment of the vehicle to the order. Both messages are encountered on action DPR_SAVE and event ORD_SAVE.
Appreciate on your expertise on this. Please advise me if I have missed out any configuration as well as master data setup.

Free Goods
Hi Friends,
There are different company codes as there are the plants .Therefore there are different sales areas.This was the requirement of business then.
However if i have to configure exclusive free goods from different sales areas is it possible .Inspite of knowing that it cannot be done for different sales areas i am asking this question
Has this been done by any of the SAP experts
If it was done can any one help me on this with the procedure

IPC 7.0 and ECC 6.0
Hi All,
I have a question pertaining to IPC 7.0 and ECC 6.0 . IPC comes with CRM in the ECC 6.0.
What I need to do if I need to use only IPC , not CRM. Earlier IPC 4.0 was stand alone. Does IPC 7.0 is stand alone , or do I need to turn on the CRM , just to use IPC in the ECC 6.0 Environment.
