We wish to migrate all historical Warranty Claims (~ 500000 records) from legacy system. What should be the data migration strategy? Would populating them in SAP BI be the right way or should we create the old Warranty transactions directly in ECC itself ? When a new Warranty Claim is created in ECC, we would also like to know the details of Claims in the past for the Product.
Request you all to share some of your experiences related to migration of historical warranty claims (Things gone Right / Things gone Wrong). It would be of immense help.

I would like to get information about which are the tables where all data related to iPPE is stored. It would be great if I get this information related to SAP ECC & SAP SCM systems.
These internal keys in both the systems can be a real pain at times.

I'm having problem when creating new vehicle in /DBM/VM. The Valuation Class that i use for VEHI is 4010. when i click
on save the system show valuation class 3200 not allowed for material type vehicle config. i already check my valution class
configuration, My Materia Type VEHI does not link with 3200. how do i resolve this issue ?
Hello, I am trying to get a better understanding of the LSF handling in SAP. We have users that are reporting that they are reporting production and shipping as they normally do, however the LSF requirements that are either current or in the past, still remain on the MD04 screen. I have looked at the Sales Agreements and don't see any unfulfilled demand. I am looking for tips on where to better understand why the LSF requirements are not disappearing after production is reported.

What would be the better solution if I am going for Lease & Rental (Fleet Management) for automotive industry - Is it VMS or DBM that should be leveraged along with CRM ?
Since the requirement areas are Vehcile Lifecycle management (Procurement, Vehicle Database, Vehicle Contract Lease, Dispositions, Asset Management), not sure what to use with CRM.. VMS or DBM.

Hi Gurus,
I would like to understand few things here.
There is this Dealer Portal which uses the services of VMS, Spare Parts Functions and WMS.
Now as I understand there is add-on called DBM. What are the differences we have incase DBM is activated.
Secondly, if we activate DBM, will it be like previous VMS, WMS settings are irrelevant or those are still useful.

We do not have FSCM as a part of this implementation - So the question is does DBM work with standard SD credit management?

Hi SAP Experts,
May I get your guide on how to configure business partner so that it will appear in Personalization for IS-AUTO Dealer Portal? The following screen is taken from Warranty tab in Dealer Portal. I had already created a Business Partner that link to a customer/vendor record.
As a side note, I had already configured other functionality in Warranty and I am able to create a basic warranty claim through the portal.
Also, I will always encounter a warning "The Web Dynpro component assignment for business partner is missing" and an error "Customer not defined" when I am accessing the personalization screen from Vehicle Sales tab, as below:

Could someone please help with assigning authorisation roles. I assigned transaction VELO in the role. When I test the role with ACTION CRE1 to create a planned vehicle it works. But when I click on the CONFIGURE button it gives me an error
"XCM scenario VEHICLEMAN DEFAULT not found". The authorisation role is missing Objects. I am not sure what object and I do not know how to look to see which objects are missing.

Hi All;
I have finally figured out how to create a car and move it along using Actions. Now, I have an issue. When I create the car there is no VIN attached to it. I have read that you need to use action SMOD to add the VIN. I have add SMOD action to my control matrix and have vehicle attribute VHVIN added to action SMOD in the "Define Additional Data for Vehicle" configuration.
However, when I execute the SMOD action, I don't get a pop screen or any data entry screen that lets me enter the VIN.
How do I do this without javing the Dealer Business Management (DBM) add-on installed.

Trust somebody can assist me. We have some open sales orders with stock on hand but no storage locations allocated. Therefore these sales orders are still open.
I need a transaction code :
- to have an overview how many open sales orders exist with no storage location allocated.
- the value of these open sales orders with no storage location allocated
- then I need to determine how to fix this problem that these sales order can get released
