hI,

I cant fing  external manufacturer name in the External Manufacturer field in the control data of the vendor master

i already activate the field as required in account group setting, but still I can't find it

anyone could help?

Action CREA : No action control found

Hi

 

Created a Vehicle model  and when I execute the VELO transaction I was able to see the Vehicle Model in VELO transaction

but when I try create a Vehicle using the vehcile model ..it says No action control found.

 

after going through the sap help ..I need to keep in place the action matrix so that the action is triggerred

 

so pls let me know how to create a action matrixfor the action CREA.

DBM pricing date

Hi Gurus,

 

In DBM service order we will issue our parts for the job card at regular intervals. eg .  Jan, Feb, March.

We are maintaining different parts price based on the different dates set in the condition record (VK11).

Here issue is system picks the date based on pricing date at the header level. For example a service order was opened on January. When we issue the parts on February and march the system picks the price for January since pricing date is based on the order date and itu2019s on header level.  Now our requirement is system should pick the price from the condition record based on the item delivery date since we issue the part at different intervals.

VIN Number and Serial Numbers

Hi all,

Just wanting to confirm my solution in that I am receiving a file to create Orders ( IDOC MESSAGE TYPE ORDERS05)

I want to hold the the vehicle identification number VIN and serial number.  Also is it best to get these 2 fields populated via IDOC or should I get entered them in the sales order? If the answer is in sales order than which are the best Fields to use in VBAK.

 

Or can I have these fields populated in ORDERS05?  I wasn't able to locate the fields in ORDERS05

 

Please remember I need these 2 fields passed through to the Purchase order and Invoice. Both VIN NUMBER and serial number.

DBM vs. Dealers Portal

Hi All,

 

Need help in understanding difference between Dealers Portal and DBM.

 

At present we are planning to activate VMS, but we need Dealer interaction as well in the Business. I understand that we can activate DBM and VMS to leverage the combined functionality.

Free Goods

Hi Friends,

 

There are different company codes as there are the plants .Therefore there are different sales areas.This was the requirement of business then.

 

However if i have to configure exclusive free goods from different sales areas is it possible .Inspite of knowing that it cannot be done for different sales areas i am asking this question

 

Has this been done by any of the SAP experts

 

If it was done can any one help me on this with the procedure

Sub Lot creation and Tracibility

Hi,

Our client is Auto component supplier, we are implementing PP-Repetetive here. we are going to have multi level BOM.

Following is business requirement  at each BOM level:

1. Each production Run is identified as a Batch.

2. A batch will stored in many baskets.

3. Tracibility is need to be at Basket level

 

Business need to make unique Identification for each Basket.

 

Basket is consumed (GI) to subsequent header material.

 

Is there any way we can create sub Batch No for these basket.

Or any suggetsed way to address this requirement

Traceability of Handling Units

Dear SAP users from all over the world,

 

I’m an employee of a company that is manufacturing wiring harnesses for automotive industry.

Recently we received a preventive quality alert from one of our components supplier and I was in charge of finding and applying the necessary containment actions.

One of this actions consisted in identifying all the Handling Units that corresponded to the external delivery ID’s provided by the supplier.

 

Now my work was titanic because I had to follow the steps described below:

External delivery ID (one by one) --> VL06IF -->inbound delivery

inbound delivery found above --> VL32N --> handling units which correspond to the inbound delivery (but here are included handling units for all the materials found on the inbound delivery and not only the ones I’m interested of) .

HU’s found above --> HUMO --> export excel file

 

After formatting the list exported from HUMO I am able to know which were the Handling Units assigned to the suspect material and to the suspect delivery.

 

You can imagine now how difficult it is to perform traceability for more than one material and for more than one suspect deliveries. Last time I’ve worked almost 1 entire day to have the work done so my question for you is:

Is there any other way to identify the Handling Units which correspond to a specific material and to a specific inbound delivery or deliveries?

 

I want to mention that my SAP knowledge is limited. I don’t know how to create Z codes and even if some of you will try to explain how they are created is very probable to don’t have access to specific transactions.

If the solution does not consist in an usual transaction and is absolutely necessary to use a Z code then the alternative will be for someone to create this code for me and I will upload it from PC afterwards Favorites --> Upload from PC.

DIMP after upgrade to ECC6.0 - Warranty claim problems

Hi,

 

We have just upgraded from SAP 4.7 to ECC6.0 and are having some issues realting to Warranty claims, whereby certain data dictionary references and methods etc seem to have been removed.

 

Examples are as follows:-

Certain table type references that have been removed from type groups e.g.

  pwty_pawty_li_tab and  pwty_posvid_tab which have been removed from type group PWTY.  We have some 'Z' programs that refer to this type group and as a result are not compiling. 

 

There are also methods that have been deleted e.g. cl_ppeliwty_cntl=>delete_gt_changed_item.  We have some 'Z' programs that refer to this method and as a result the claim programs are not compiling.

 

During the upgrade to ECC6.0, the Switch framework only switched on 'Discrete Industries / Mill Product' - DIMP_SDUD.  There are many others that are not activated.

 

My question is whether there are other switches within the  'Discrete Industries / Mill Product' that may need to be turned on in order for some functionality to become activate.

 

If not, has anyone come across this problem before?

Our client is working on SAP 4.6 C with SPlevel < 50 along with IS –AUTO 4.0 and looking to implement the Warranty module. Tcode-owty used as a part of warranty configuration does not open all the relevant nodes or a blank screen is displayed underneath or related to this node.

You r advise would be highly appreciated and solicited on whether or not we need to add any SP to the existing one to have all the nodes opening without showing blank screen.

VMS Dealer Portal in Upcoming EhP4

Hi All,

 

does anybody know what effects the announced switch to web dynpro for dealer portal will have:

- What technique will be used, web dynpro for Java or web dynpro for ABAP

- Is Java Stack no longer needed, if web dynpro for ABAP is used or is Java stack mandatory on enterprise portal

The background for this question is the planned set up of a VMS demo system and I want to clarify, if it is possible to install NW with EP and ERP on the same server. So this leads to the question ABAP stack only or both ABAP+JAVA stack, which is not recomended by SAP installation master guides.

Hello evryone.

Myself Tushar Babu, An automobile engineer by profession but looking into material inventory managemen as on date.

I am new to SAP, and still learning to use reports. First time exposure to DBMS of any form.

Joined this forum to understand and learn SAP.

The problem statement i am facing is to find the No. of vehicles that can be made from available inventory. The known entities are Plant Inventory & BOM(Bill of Material) .The output required is find the no. of units possible from given stock & if any shortages highlight them.

We have got a requirement and need to create new Events/Actions etc in Order Control.

Since I am new to DBM, I need some guidance to configure actions etc under Order Control.

Personnel number not update time recording

Hi SAP Expert,

 

Now i have an issue on personnel is not update in time recording after do clock on & clock off in /DBM/TM_VT for a service order. Some personnel is update time sheet in CAT3 but some personnel is not maintain.

 

I compare master data personnel in PA30 with personnel can update time sheet and personnel cannot update time sheet.

All infotype such as Time Sheet Default (0315), Explicit Terminal Assignment (9110) & Planned Working Time (0007) is same between these 2 personnel number.

 

I run CAT3, personnel number that no update timesheet is not appear in there and /DBM/TM_ERRORS also don't have personnel number that got error.
