How feasible is take a wsitch from SAP Retail to SAP automtive - i.e to handle the blueprint design and build part of plant maintainance given the fact that i have good years of experince in SD and MM as well..please guide me a way forward on this -is it possible to learn it in one month.

Hi All,
Have any one aware of any solution to lease fixed asset vehicles in SAP DBM/VMS. I do not want to use Finance leasing. At most i can go sap Sales leasing contract but since this are vehicles and charged to customer based on per day usage criteria, I cannot have fixed contact only price is fixed. However to get correct VIN by VIN profitability i prefer to have some solution in DBM/VMS.
In the end we have to give business the profitability report based on service which we done on those vehicles (charged internally) and profit we earned by lease rental and depreciation we book.
All help will be rewarded.

We are considering implementing VMS and we are trying to figure out the additional storage requirments once this application is active so we can plan our hardware and storage appropriately.
Is there a formula or a rough percentage we can apply? Any experiences would be appreciated.

I checked in t-code: SM30 for this table find table maintenance,then what procedure I have to fallow i am not aware.

We have activated Industry solution IS-AUTO (DIMP) in 2004 and are live on SAP ECC 6.0. We are manufacturing company and using Country India Version also along with IS-AUTO.
We would now like to activate Funds Management IS-PS through Business Transaction Events configuration under Financial Accounting.
Are there any side effects or impacts due to this activation of Funds Management? Request your valuable inputs to decide further course of action.

I’m facing an issue in SAP VMS (Vehicle Management System). If I click on the “Find” option in VELO transaction then list of vehicles will be displayed but system throwing following error”Entry VEHICLE missing in table COM_SE_BUSOBJ”

Hello experts,
We have many custom fields on vehicle master and we can't add more than 99 custom fields on same screen (SAP restriction)
Now I want to add new node (like we have data Entry, Service, Document flow)
Once I add new node, we know how to add new tab and fields. But How can we add new node no Vehicle master?
Do we need to use one of below mentioned BAdI or some other and how to do it step by step.
BAdI: Exchange Vehicle Data Screen in Vehicle Detail
Or
BAdI: Exchange Configuration Screen in Vehicle Detail
Please advice.

The issue is related to SAP DBM(Dealer Business Management) but i didn't found any blog pertaining to that,that is why i am posting this issue here.
I have a scenario where i have to capture the vehicle features(under optional extras) in the Vehicle model(/dbm/vmodel) and then do the quotation based on vehicle model capturing all the features in the quotation.
Now the situation is that i am able to do the vehicle quotation based on model capturing all the features as maintained in the vehicle model but while assigning vehicle( to that quotation) is throwing an error.
But if you see i am able to attach vehicle to the quotation
But while saving quotation,it's throwing an error
Please guide me on this how to resolve this issue.

I am getting below Warning message.
The Web Dynpro component assignment for business partner is missing.
As per my investigation found below.
Since address formats are different for each country, you can define in the Customizing activity Assign Web Dynpro Components to Country-Specific Address Formats under SPRO --> which Web Dynpro component you want the system to use for displaying end customer addresses.
BUT do NOT understand the name of WebDynpro Component to provide.
What are the entries or WebDynpro component names to fill in below?

Since the requirement areas are Vehcile Lifecycle management (Procurement, Vehicle Database, Vehicle Contract Lease, Dispositions, Asset Management), not sure what to use with CRM.. VMS or DBM.

In my scenario Organization handles Import as well as retail business. So its an Importer and also a Dealer catering to end-customer. What solution - VMS or DBM should be used ? I believe I need to use both of them to fulfil all the requirements of business, please correct me. Also if need to use both of them - Can I use them in same instance - same client or do I need separate clients to map the scenario ? Can I also eliminate the need of CRM is I use DBM ?

I am looking in Split Production order - SAP process for ECC6. I understand the steps and that a product cost collector is required. Is there any way around splitting an order based on cost by production order, if my company chooses to Cost based on order and not product? I also seen a thread that stated that split production orders in not supported for collective orders. Is this statement correct? Is there any way around being able to use the Split Production Order process for Collective orders? Also, if I have a material for a given sales order line item (individual requirement but not collective order) is it possible to use SAP's standard production order split process? Or is the split production order process only available to use for collective requirements in a more repetative manufacturing environment, not for materials tied to a sales order? Please let me know. Below is the steps that I already know about the process..thanks.
In OPL8, set the cost collector indicator and default role as PP2.
Create a standard cost estimate for the material (CK11N).
Create the cost collector (KKF6N).
Create the production order (CO01).
Set the created production order to released state (REL) for system status.
Change the production order (CO02). Go to the operation overview tab in the change mode for the production order.
Highlight the operation from which you want to split.
In the top menu bar, Select functions and Split Order.
Enter in the quantity and if necessary, a different order type for the child order.
Execute
The production order will be split.
